Prior to employment, all food handlers must undergo a thorough medical check-up at the Government Medical Health Centre.
The Health Department will then issue the Health Certificate and set the next medical check-up date.
 

 
APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME
The joint apprenticeship programme between Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd and Maktab Teknik Sulltan Saiful Rijal was launched in 1996, resulting over 41 graduates.
In 1999, the apprenticeship training programme in professional Cookery and Service was formed by the Brunei Technical and Vocational Education. Another 12 graduates have been produced under new apprenticeship scheme.
